Dear Mr Wakefield

I wanted to write to record my thanks for the services your company provided to a friend and neighbour of mine just before Christmas last year. I do apologise for not writing sooner, I simply have not had the opportunity.

My neighbours, a retired couple, suffered a particularly distressing burglary and came to me for security advice. I recently retired having served thirty years in the Metropolitan Police the last thirteen of which were in crime prevention. My last position was as the house adviser to Parliament on security and crime prevention issues.

I surveyed their house and recommended various physical improvements and also suggested an intruder detection system be installed. I recommended your company along with three others because it was NACOSS approved and installed to BS4737. A representative called and was extremely helpful. You will understand that my neighbours were very shook up and I was particularly impressed when they related to me how careful your agent had been not to unduly influence them in favour of Wakefield Security Systems over and above any of the others under consideration.

The sensitivity and care with which the enquiry was dealt contributed immensely to the decision to select your company for the installation. Here again praise is fully justifiable. The installers took great care to ensure the internal decorations were left substantially undisturbed and time was taken to ensure that hard wire cabling was out of sight wherever possible. The job was completed promptly, courteously and professionally and complies with NACOSS and British Standards to the letter which is something that quite sadly a lot of so called approve installers fail to achieve!

As a result of the installation I was able to endorse an additional enquiry from another neighbour as well as close relatives of the initial customer who live in the area resulting in a further two systems being installed by your company. In addition I have been pleased to recommend Wakefield to a friend of mine who runs a replacement window company who was looking for a dependable IDS installer to advise his customers on. He often receives related inquiries about security systems and needed to be able to recommend with some degree of assurance.

Since the original installation the service and support has been excellent with no problem or worry too small to be addressed by the company. This is a great comfort to an elderly couple and a continuing endorsement of the totally professional attitude adopted by Wakefield Security Systems.

I remain in the security industry as a commercial and industrial freelance consultant and though my contracts tend to be spread nationally a lot of my work is in the south. Where I have the opportunity to include Wakefield on a recommended list I shall do so with complete confidence.
