The Custodian Gold Shield awards - sponsored by BT RedCARE - are well established, and have become a target for a high number of security installers who are serious about giving their customers a credible level of protection coupled with a freedom from false alarms. The Gold Shield awards recognise companies who have achieved the very best levels of false alarm management, and the scheme recognises installers linked into Custodian's Alarm Receiving Centres. Companies are judged in one of four categories, dependent upon the number of connected systems they have, thus ensuring that every company large or small, has a chance of winning one of the prestigious Gold Shield awards. Each regional winner in each category receives a Certificate of Excellence, with the overall national winners in each category receiving the coveted Gold Shield award. These are highly prized, and are seen by many as an accolade to their hard work and high quality of alarm installations. The Custodian Gold Shields are seen by many as being a positive step in the on- going fight against false alarms, and winners should be very proud that they have joined an elite group in the industry.

Sadly we no longer use Custodian for our burglar alarm monitoring; a decision that was made for the benefit of our customers. Our performance has not diminished, however, and we are sure that we would carry on winning the highest awards if we were still part of this scheme. We won this award because of the stringent policies that we adopt to eliminate false alarms, and that policy remains in force.
